Mother’s Day Classic, Merimbula

May in Merimbula is for Mum’s. The Mother’s Day Classic takes place on 14 May, 2017, and offers a 5km walk or run, or a 10km run, all in the name of breast cancer research. Rally together a team to participate in the event, or just come along to Spencer Park on Main Street to show your support. There will be music, sweet treats and coffee to keep you going on the day. Adult entry fees start at just $20 with proceeds going toward the National Breast Cancer Foundation Australia. Entries close 10 May, 2017 at 11:59pm.

Bateman’s Bay Tennis Open

Dust off your rackets and start practicing your serve, the 2017 Bateman’s Bay Tennis Open is coming to town. With $10,000 in prize money up for grabs, your backhand could pay off in big bucks. There are 25 events across four draws being held at the Bateman’s Bay Tennis Club. Entries close 30 May, 2017, so get in quick. If tennis isn’t your game, don’t worry. Spectator entry is free, so you can head down between 9-12 June, 2017 to cheer on a friend or just enjoy watching some live tennis action. Barlings Beach Holiday Park is just a short drive from the event location, so you can have the accommodation advantage for the Open.
